One of only 125 Park Ward Dropheads produced in total and the first generation to feature the now famous 200HP Rolls-Royce V8 engine. This particular example has lived a most lavished and prominent life. The chassis of BC86BY was delivered to Park Ward on the 16th January 1961, the coachwork was completed some six months later where the Bentley agent, Jack Barclay Ltd, delivered it to Mr. J. Eisinger of 34 Belgrave Square, Belgravia, London SW1 (The former East German Embassy). The original garaged address, for those who do not know, is in the most famous and historic square in Belgravia and has been home to Royalty and foreign dignitaries for centuries ' a fitting place for what was the most expensive and exotic car available at the time.

Originally specified to be finished in Sand with Beige trim, it appears that this was changed some prior to the car going to Park Ward for its coachwork.
